Welcome to My Personal Page

For the 5th year, I'll be running in the Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate benefiting YWCA Evanston/North Shore. The Race Against Hate brings together thousands of people from all over Chicagoland to run and walk in unity and against racial hatred and violence. Our church team, the St. Luke's Winged Oxen, has been a long-time supporter of this event. This year, our kids will again be running with me (or far ahead of me, actually...)
Ricky Byrdsong was a former Northwestern University men’s basketball coach, who, while walking with two of his children, was murdered by a white supremacist. The Race Against Hate was launched to honor his legacy and bring attention to the need to combat hatred in all of its forms.
All proceeds from the Race Against Hate benefit YWCA Evanston/North Shore, in particular its racial justice programming and violence prevention education for young people.
I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many! It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.
Any amount, great or small, helps in the fight. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Sincerely,
Anne
